There are 2 rates:
For private/personal collections,
tapes , vinyl etc. the following rates apply, please note there are a few methods for transfering vinyl, some much better
than others, I use only professional equipment and techniques (i.e. no USB turntables which give lower quality results) This
is archival and preservation quality transfer.(using 24 bit AKM A/D audiophile quality converters)
Cassette tapes,
one off's, any length £30.00 + Special delivery, more than 1 tape at £15.00 per hour of material (or part thereof) I can usually
repair snapped cassette tapes for £10.00
LP 12" £8.50 per side (one off's £25.00) + return postage
LP 12"
Singles / EP's £5.50 per side (one off's £20.00)+ return postage
45's 7" Singles £4.00 per side (one off's £15.00)+
return postage
78's (up to 12") disks transferred for £6.00 per side + return postage.
DAT tapes £9.00
per 30mins of material (or part therof)
Minidiscs transferred £30.00 for one off's and please call for multiple discount.
4 Track Cassettes (Portastudio Cassettes) £40.00 with a direct transfer of recorded levels. Tracks mixed for £10.00
each.
4 track 1/4" inch tapes £30.00 per studio hour (material transferred mixed as is, please ask
for remixing quote if required)
Mono/Stereo 1/4" tapes £30.00 per studio hour. (using REVOX high quality open reel
to reel machine)
Media charge £0.35 per CD-R and £0.35 for a slimline jewel case.
If deemed necessary or specifically
requested the above private rates include dehiss/decrackle.
Professional restoration/transfer services are charged
at £30.00 per hour (no vat to add).
For custom jobs or many items please call for a competitive estimate. I will
use Special Delivery to send the transfers and original material back this costs between £4.60 and £15.00

Using 3 advanced restoration software types including Izotope RX, most problems can be cleaned up, greatly improving
and revitalizing recordings.Precious recordings can be enjoyed and preserved on CD-R reducing wear and tear on the original
source recordings.Transfers of audio from most domestic formats onto a digital medium or digital file format.

equipment with RIAA preamplifier. 24bit / 96kHz capable analogue to digital conversion with AKM (TM) A/D convertors Taiyo
Yuden / Verbatim Class A recordable CD-R media. Editing and PQ encoding in SADiE high end Audio workstation
All
material sent to SafeandSound / Barry Gardner for transfer to other formats must be original material owned by the customer.
Copyright and disclaimer :
SafeandSound will make a copy of the original recording for the purposes of private
use under the 'fair use' provisions of copyright law. These copies are strictly for personal listening by the recording owner
and must not be redistributed or duplicated in any way and destroyed if the original is sold/destroyed. By using these services,
the user takes full responsibility for all copyright issues.
I strongly recommend sending precious recordings by Royal
Mail Special Delivery (check for pricing at you local post office or online at Royal Mail). The sender is soley responsible
for delivery and packing the recorded material with sufficient packing materials for safe delivery. Whilst every attempt is
made to ensure safe return delivery (by Special Delivery) and professional care is taken with all materials in my posession,
you use this service with the provisor that ultimately the sender assumes responsibility for the loss of any materials.
78's
should be packed with a sheet of corrugated cardboard in between each disk as they are especially fragile, ensure you
mark the package "Do Not Bend".

Accepted payment forms:
Cash, Cheque or PayPal, 50pct deposit must be paid upon commencement
of work and 50pct before delivery of mastered audio, smaller jobs require full payment by cheque sent with materials to be
transferred.
